Why we adore the Italians??
|
The flavor of the month... is all that
is Italian. Infact it is perennially the flavor of the month.
We just can’t do with out the Italians…so we love
them and adore them. Italy has become so much a part of world
culture blending itself and it’s delicious pastas into
the imagination of the people. In America ,where so many different
cultures be it Chinese or Indian or Latino have amalgamated
into one giant cosmopolitan city
The Italian flavor has always been the dominant one. Pepperoni
Pizzas have side lined Sushi, Enchiladas and Shammi Kebabs.
Q. How do Italian girls shave their legs?
A. They lie down outside and have someone mow them.
Italian is in vogue today. It has been ever since Marlon
Brando appeared on the screen feathering his chin with the
back side of his fingers. Who can possibly forget the overpowering
influence of the “Godfather” on the imagination
of people. If there were nothing else just this one movie
would suffice as a major contribution of the ‘Italians’.
The Italian factor is responsible for some of the finest movies
to come out of Hollywood. And some of the finest actors. Robert
di Niro , Al Pacino each brings with himself that quintessential
Italian Machismo ,a heavily accented style of acting , very
very stylish.
Gorgeous hunks with a chest full of hair and beautiful divas
epitomizing femininity …the Italians are one sexy group
of people who have never believed in curbing their passion
.There is something very endearing about the traditional image
sketched of an Italian family .

A bus stops and two Italian men get on. They sit
down and engage in an animated conversation. The lady sitting
behind them ignores them at first, but her attention is drawn
when she hears one of the men say the following: "Emma
come first. Den I come. Den two asses come together. I come
once-a-more. Two asses, they come together again. I come again
and pee twice. Then I come one lasta time."
"You foul-mouthed swine, " retorted the
lady indignantly. "In this country we don't talk about
our sex lives in public!"
"Hey, coola down lady," said the man. "Who
talkin' abouta sexa? I'm a justa tellin' my frienda how to
spella Mississippi."
Another gift from Italy is the concept of mafia..a concept
that has been adopted over and over again in Hollywood movies.
Most of the 70’s were the era of the Mafia Families.
At one point of time there were at least 10 crime families
operating in New York alone. The likes of the Gambino Crime
Family , The Genovese Crime Family (which has been called
the ivy league of organized crime. They are the strongest
and richest mafia family in the U.S. at the moment.), Lucchese
Crime Family
And of course not to forget the sopranos.

Q. How

Cock fight?
A. Well, if the Duck wins, you know they are!
I would have been cursing my self if I forgot to add her
here. Probably Italy’s greatest gift ever to mankind.
Some people say that there are only two really good things
ever to come out of Italy and both of them belong to Sophia
Loren. Born in Rome, Italy in the year 1934 as Sofia Scicolone
, she is indeed Italy's most fabled export to the world.
I have mentioned the foods, the sweltry bodies, the mafias
,the accent but not the sounds of Italy.
Luciano pavarotti-- is the sound of Opera. Great booming voice
that has entertained and moved audiences
world wide. The great singer has had his humble beginnings
in Modena, Italy.
